Buddha was the embodiment of all the virtues he preached. During his successful and eventful ministry of 45 years he translated all his words into action; and in no place did he give vent to any human frailty, or any base passion. The Buddha’s moral code is the most perfect which the world has ever known.
ZEN
Our ordinary mind is overflowing with ideas and opinions; to learn Zen we must first “empty our mind”. Zazen (seated Zen meditation) and Kinhin (walking Zen) enables us to intentionally quiet our restless “monkey-mind”, calling a temporary halt to the random noise- both inner and outer. Just breathing and being aware of being aware.
Zen is simple, direct, unerringly pointing the way, to ones personal truth and perfect freedom. It’s method consists of correct posture, correct breathing, correction attention.
We invite and encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to practice Zen meditation. Zen does not conflict in any way with any religious creed. Practicers of Zen have been Catholics, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, agnostics.
